Fees payable for renewal of practicing certificates are stipulated in the Second schedule of the Nurses and Midwives Act Cap 61: 03.
2. Registration period
Renewal of practicing certificate starts from 1st September- 31st December of each year with exception of Fridays and a day preceding holidays.
Late registration starts from 1st to 30th January of each year ONLY on Mondays and Tuesdays with exceptions to days preceding holidays.
3. CPD points
a) A minimum of 20 CPD points should be attained by all, with 6 months and/or more of service/practice.
b) The CPD points shall be earned from a variety of activities.

4. Failure to renew by the due date
Anyone who fails to renew their practicing certificate by the due date, which is 30th January of each year, shall be guilty of an offense and liable to a fine as prescribed in the Nurses and Midwives Act Cap 61: 03.
Those seeking late renewal of practicing certificate shall be required to:
a) Submit a letter explaining why they could not renew their practicing licenses by the due date.
